look out world....

so mommy has a little person inside her freaking out right now. if you have any extra calmness & support, please console this little spaz!
as of late, she's really been concerned about our house. it is very inefficient already when it comes to heating/cooling. we have single pain windows that have possibly not been replaced ever! there is no insulation under the house. yes, none!! and in the attic above, she had seen a few years back, the insulation up there (behind the secret door in the attic!), is the kind you blow in, looks kinda like a mixture of newspaper & dryer lint! at the time, she just closed the door & walked away, filing this in the uh-oh file in her little spaz's head! (after all..who wants to mess with asbestos?!?) & speaking of the ceiling, the garage ceiling has been slowly giving into all the treasures she has upstairs, which has lead to some serious purging these last few months. (okay, some rearranging too ;) i can't possibly part with it all right?) and now, she's been noticing cracks & nail holes in the ceiling more than ever inside the house. oh, & when luke was up there, he commented on another item mom chose to look the other way on too, ash. yup. there is ash in the attic too. house history: fire. check.
so, today, she was talking to grandpa edwards about our gas fireplace(which by the way she uses very infrequently since there is some odd material in there..), it seems to him, & his buddy who is familiar with gas fireplaces, that it is likely our chimney has a hole. a HOLE?. ...what the...ahhhhh!!!! we have the attic's insulation in our fireplace. or so it seems.
So...what the heck, do we need to start investing, cuz we're not staying here for long, we need a bigger house, (daddy says i won't have little brother 'till we get a bigger house! so we're shoppin!) OR, do we let the next first time buyers in here deal with it? and what the heck was the house inspector for? did he miss all this? i suppose our outdated sprinkler system that doesn't work was put in right after the fire..don't you?
