look out world....

greetings to you after such a long pause in my blogging career! mom & i (& even grandma mary!) ended up on the receiving end of a very gnarly flu type bug. whether it was really the flu or salmonella poisoning, or some stupid food related bug, we were sickly around here for about a week. & poor grandma chris came to visit me all the way from across the state on the day that i woke up daddy & mommy by choking on my own vomit!!! (EEK!!) she was able to stay 'till monday, but i was very antisocial & mommy was stuck in bed (when she wasn't running to the loo!). needless to say, it slowed us down for the week & mommy & i laid pretty low. (not something we generally do very well or comfortably, but this week, it was welcomed thanks to the sprout channel ;)

we're missing our gym activites again tonight after missing all of last week, only because now i have a deep cough. it isn't truly worrisome, but somewhat persistant. so i guess it's best to stay out of the public! especially where other kids are playing, even if that is where i picked up the germs!!

so i guess we're due for an update ...

i just weighed in tonight at 31.8lbs on my scale at home. just a few days ago (at the end of my diarrhea & pukeyness, i was 30.something..!!!) & according to my foot size on my print out foot sizer from the children's place, i should be wearing a size nine shoe.!!!

i get to see my grandma mary several times a week, & i LOVE it!! she is my bestest bud. if it were up to her & i, i think i could certainly rule this planet!

although it will have to wait until i can speak clearly! i still don't have a ton of words, or very many at all actually! that are very clear. the words that are very clear are words like "nope" (this one comes with a full head shake & exclamation point at the end!) & "dip" is another very clear word! "more" comes out as "MO"...lol, makes me laugh just to think about that one!! "moooo" is very clear, as is "bye bye" (nice little southern drawl to that one!) so is "whooo whooo" like the "owl" that is also pretty good. "apple " is pretty clear as is "wet" & "hot". "mama" translates to both my mom & grandmas (chris & mary). "dada" is pretty good, "wa wa" is water, "oose" is juice. milk is "meah" "bewah" is belly, "newh" is nose, "eye" is another with a southern drawl!!

there are a ton of words that i say that not everyone would know what i'm saying, but mama knows. like dump truck & train & airplane (all things with wheels really!) wagon, motorcycle, school bus! things like "stuck", oh, "up & down" are pretty clear, off, car, bike, wheel, radio, the list goes on forever really, but just to give you an idea! (you being family today reading this, or myself reading this years from now!!)

i spend most of my sunday's at grandpa edwards's house while mom & daddy are working. eating steaks apparently!! i do not claim to be a vegetarian by any stretch! my grandpa is so proud!! we run around the pasture feeding the horses & barn cats & the puppies, meiko & alaska. happy birthday soon (next month!) to alaska! what are you going to be like 16 or something?!

i've also taken to applying my army paint when mommy puts on her face. she let me do it for a few days, but put a stop to it since i was really getting into it!! what she called eyeshadow was my favorite to put on my cheeks & lips! and here, i'm trying to apply her perfume!

ps, another cousin of mommy's had a baby this weekend! (congrats to paula!) and two more are preggars!!!!...nudge nudge daddy, i need a play mate!!!
