izzy's 6 month check up went well. "looks healthy" he weighed in at 20lbs11oz
please pray for laura & jackson. mama laura went into preterm labor yesterday & gave birth to a lovely 4 &a half pound jackson! (8 week premie) both are doing well, but jackson will be in the hospital at least four weeks... thanks for the prayers!

went out to grandpa's yesterday. he had a bobcat out there to break the ground for starting the deck!

had to take this one to keep my baby small! he's not so little anymore ...but i could make him look wee in this pic!

they're growing up right under my nose...:( so happy to be part of their lives though, they're pretty sweet!
isaiah sits up real good & both bottom teeth are barreling through his poor little gums.
and he took a bottle twice for brian this weekend! wahoo!!! this is a first! which makes it a wee bit more challenging when i leave for work!

grandpa steve spent five (6?) days in the hosptial...congestive heart failure & all that goes with that :( he is home again safe & sound, but on a few new meds
& p-paw goes in in the morning tomorrow to get a new pacemaker. a common surgery, but prayers are welcome anyway!

some funny things our chazman has said lately:
one night i asked him what he thought of having frozen pizza for dinner. his response? "no! hot pizza!"
one night grandpa mike brought over a new set of thomas trains. charlie connected them all then drove them toward us & says " hey guys! check this out!"
when the sun goes down, "the sunset comes up"
he's always asking what's everyone doing, since he wants them to call them on the phone to ask them to come over.

so bitter sweet..little baby popped a tooth last week! i think it was thursday i was taking the boys home from grandma mary's & isaiah was (oddly enough!) not wanting to sit in the car seat~i happened to notice when his mouth was wide open there was a lone tooth sticking out! poor little guy! could you imagine how that must feel? eew..good thing we don't remember that stuff! this morning, he was bleeding from the mouth & my first thought was charlie..but i think he just bit down on something & the other tooth is trying to come out, it's real close, but i haven't seen if it is out all the way yet! milestones are exciting, but makes me sad my baby-baby is growing up so fast...guess i'm just that much closer to getting a night's rest! and i won't feel so guily going to work once he's a bit older!
summer has arrived! they're talking heat advisories for us here (and everywhere else too!). doesn't happen but once a year for us! they say today may reach 93! & then 80's for about a week!? woah! a bit of a change of our 60 &70 degree days!! i love it though! too bad the heat doesn't prelude thunderstorms!! ;p
hope all is well, we're going to try to go to the park today & play in the water (aka giant petri dish) with the other million kids! better double up the vitamin c foods today!! (ooh...tang anyone?)

ah hem. it will be a miracle if any veggies come up this year. the seeds are from 2001 & 2005. (don't ask! i just found them!) so, we have that going for us! then, brian brought a starter for a zucchini home, the slugs devoured it! and, mister charlie here keeps digging up what was planted. and he planted a handful (almost literally) of various seeds in one spot. (a packet of lettuce, a packet of cilantro, and another bunch of seeds i didn't find the packet to?!) and, you can see action laying on the corn rows....and yesterday i caught flo rolling in the dirt there too...i kept a space for chazman to play in-between the bricks there where scoop the tractor is-do you see it? charlie apparently doesn't...ahh well, i doubt we'll have a bumper crop of any sort in this yard this year!!...hahaha...

we had two beautiful days of summer this week! but it is raining now again!

this is the quilt the boys' great aunt terri made! she called the other day to let me listen to the thunderstorms & tornado sirens! thanks terri! it made me smile !! i wish i could return the blessing, but i don't think you'd care to hear the drizzle! it hardly makes a "pitter patter" sound!! lol!

we went to see the night glow at the balloon festival! it was pretty cool, only a few balloons up this time, i was hoping to see the energizer bunny one, and the can of dog food balloon that has been there in the previous years-but these were good enough for the boys! charlie rode a few rides & izzy couldn't help but take it all in! it was lovely, even a full moon rise next to mount hood as we left. then isaiah screamed (as expected!) all the way home!!..sheesh!

naturally we spent quite a while with the fire truck! he kept asking the lady "what does that do?""what does that one do?"
