happy solstice, welcome summer
finally! a wonderful warm day! a perfect first day of summer! the events of the day were uneventful. big z is impressively disastrous. for instance, the kitchen floor was covered in cereal & milk before i finished sweeping! but he's as cute as they come. good thing. cuz he antagonizes poor charlie, who gets in trouble for swatting, kicking, shoving, or pounding on isaiah. charlie tries to make sure (obvious attempts) that i'm not watching or that i "don't see". but the poor thing always gets caught!...
charlie helped bbq pork chops with onions & red bells. speaking of food, these boys are bottomless pits. i swear they would eat themselves silly if it weren't monitered! i kid you not! they eat sooooo much. just for breakfast, charlie requests daily everything i can think of to make for breakfast. we have it narrowed down to oatmeal , malt o meal, and toast with honey. but he always keeps asking for more. cereal, yogurt with granola, eggs & pancakes. and of course bacon! he is asking right now for more beans & cereal. he loves baked beans. refried beans too...izzy eats a lot too, for being 26lbs. he has been putting away his formula bottles like crazy lately. at least that is pretty nutritious!
he played in the dirt for a couple hours today. with toys i specifically told him to not bring outside. we're working on our listening skills. charlie has been quite challenging to this lately. of course he has also seemed to loose a bit of hearing since his ear infections. he still repeats for me to "speak up" and "what?"....so i repeat myself quite often.."did you hear me?" which ironically i remember my dad repeating that quite often!. anyways. they're doing well.
we went to the transfer station. that's always a hit, loads of tractors & trucks & loud vehicles & lots of 'back 'em up' beapers!
