happy memorial weekend to you all..and thank you for those who have & are still serving us!!
hope you all had as much fun that i did this weekend! it was a wonderful family trip to seattle with the barge clan! we stayed at an embassy suites outside seattle which was fully equipt with an over chlorinated pool, a manager's reception (yes, that means free boos for two hours!), and no hotel is complete with out boat loads of preteen baseball boys participating in a regional baseball tourney!!..there was never a dull moment!
grandma barge brought me a birthday cake -& daddy a pie! & lots of goodies to take home! thank you all for my birthday gifts! i love that i can celebrate my birthday for like three weeks straight!!
friday, we went to pike's place market..you know the one! the place the fish get thrown around!! oh daddy, that is such a fun place to be!!
we also ventured to the children's museum at the base of the space needle. it was pretty cool, but even more amazing was the gobs of people-some of which were even sober that were there for the folk celebration of somesort! a highly entertaining place to be! i even was offered to ride on a couple kiddy rides (ya know, like the amusement park kind!) and oh MY!!! i loved it so much, i even screamed louder than i ever have before when i had to get off the rides! again..never a dull moment throughout the weekend!! sunday, we watched the mariners win at safeco field..a most excellent choice for the day..it was just perfect weather in seattle!!
however, my mom is a big fat dork, & mangaged to loose the chip out of our camera..the chip with all the cool pictures (you know how my mama has a happy trigger finger when it comes to the camer!!) in it. gone..lost..vanished..ooh, mommy & daddy were (still not) very, very sad...
SO..sorry no pictures for you today..mabye you'll get a few next week or so if we can sneak some off kodak gallery or something..the only pic you could actually see is on the mariners website of mom & i...you can ask me how to get there if you want..it really isn't anything spectacular..like the tons of pictures on the lost forever & ever chip... :( woe is us!!!

then when we got home, i made myself some mini (sing song "wittle muffins") chocolate cake birthday muffins! grandma mary came over & sang to & had lunch with me :)

at uncle luke's, we blew up an air mattress. i repeatedly tried to jump on it, but it would bounce me off!!..finally i figured out to climb up , THEN jump!!..

i had to test out all the light switches of course...they all work ;)

for my birthday, grandma mary & mom & i drove up to uncle luke's & northwest trek yesterday! it was beautiful!! we were able to see so many amazing animals! we took an hour train (tram) ride around the property to see tons of animals! bison, moose, swans, deer, big horns, racoons...it was amazing! we would help the train go uphill sometimes by chanting "chugga chugga choo choo"! after the train ride, i was ready to RUN!! i ran & ran & ran up hills & down hills & my chaparones hardly could keep up!!

grandma filally got me to sit in my stroller! the walks were just wonderful!

and the windmills! tons of windmills!! & i could spot them before anyone else!! "whimmill"! i would exlaim!!

here's a photo of mom & i next to a longhorn...we had to get a pic of a statue of one since we didn't get the real thing!! (this is in lubbock too!) at this incredible place..will tell you about that in a minute..;)

we saw lots of animals we don't normally encounter! here i am in lubbock chasing the jack rabbits!! really!! they were funny little guys!! just running around in little packs! we saw prairie dogs & the little hawks that hang out in prairie lands! armadillos (okay, they were only seen as road kill!) and cardnals & mockingbirds! lizards too & wild turkeys!!

so..we're driving driving driving...in texas...and all of a sudden: camels?!!! wait? what?! no really! these pictures are literally right of the highway!! who knew!? we were looking for the wild pigs too, but we didn't see any!! but i guess the camels make up for that!!

this cross if i remember right is 19 stories tall...you can see it from miles down the road, & apparently you can see it at night when it's all lit up from space..well, maybe just your airplane ;) this is gg sitting at the base of it to give you a bit of a scale...in the town of groom (of five hundred some residents), texas! but it is outside of amarillo. amazing!

happy birthday cousin levi yesterday~!!!! we love you!!

today we went with grandma mary to the tulip & lilac gardens...it was breathtaking as always :)

"where did the train go?" after seeing the train rush by, he kept waiting & waiting for another...

here i am the day we missed our flights! after gg & ppaw had to come all the way back to the airport to get us, i was pooped! then it stormed most the night!!

on our 12 hour drive back to lindsay from lubbock, we entered the most beautiful palo duro canyon!!

salutations from back in the northwest!! mom & i did make it home after our trip being delayed for a day due to storms (actually, our incoming plane for the first leg of our flight home didn't make it to us in time to catch a connecting flight)! SO..we got to spend an extra day with gg & p-paw! it thunderstormed for hours that night, so we were pretty excited about that!! (mommy was just thrilled! & i laid down with gg for a while) i had so much fun visiting last week. mom says i was very good except the day of the wedding!! (okay, the rehersal dinner was also not on my good list either!!) mommy missed the whole wedding!! i even tried running up the aisle when the bride's maids were trying to go!! & i hollered & screamed a lot! so we spent most of it outside! but at aunt lynn''s house, i just setttled right in! i had so much fun there, & didn't want to leave!

thank you so very much to gg & p-paw for the visit. it is so special to us that we can come visit and spend time with ya'll!(heehee..) thank you thank you thank you ! really, we can't say thank you enough! i hope we can make it down again next year!
