as the world turns

say an extra prayer for Dad today. Meiko got super sick this week and won't make it through today. Very sad day for Dad. They're pretty good buddies.

On the other side of the emotional scale, Charlie has had a good week. He is proud to be saying the Pledge of Allegiance over the intercom at his school four days this week! He also had a great football game on Saturday. He was quarterback and he scored a touchdown! Isaiah also had a pretty amazing touchdown it sounds like.

I was able to put an IV needle in this week! I got it right where it is supposed to be, but then I think i went right thru the vein...:/   but now i am confident I can do it successfully next time! :)

He usually listens to music while in the tub. Today,  september 26, its Christmas music:)

A week ago today, mama D changed her residency to heaven. I was with her every chance I could be the last week of her life.  She was ready.  Lung cancer is what got her. I put the EKG image on my toes in honor of her and to remind me to smile, live, & love.  These zinnias are from her too. I split a bag of seeds  with my mom when Dian shared them with me. I was able to lie with her in bed for a while, until she got her own hospital bed.  She went fairly quickly.  So that's good, I guess. 
Okay, back to studying. School officially starts tomorrow and I'm already behind! !
