Kindergarten orientation was yesterday.  He did wonderful and is excited. 
Charlie was bored silly and I tried to find him books in the library to read and found the "choose your own adventure" books! He didn't get as excited as I did about that. 
Today is going to be a beautiful, warm day!  To bad we work and have a school today!

Our friend kat sent me this pic of the boys and I  with Lyndsey last night. ..seems like ages ago,  yet just yesterday!

 On Sunday, the four of us went out to dad & Lisa's for Brian to fix his brakes. The boys and I were honored to go with Grandpa Mike and half a dozen other veterans & American Legion Post members to the cemetery for the Memorial Day events. We took maybe a hundred or so flags, walked the entire site, finding the graves of veterans. placing a flag, and saluting each one. what an experience for Charlie. Z too, but he may not be aware of exactly what was happening. Charlie understands though. Some others were there that got pictures of them, so I'll post if I get those :) It was really amazing.

 And, on the drive. Mister Isaiah learned how to blow bubbles with grape Big League Chew. Quite the skill to hold over his brother's head. ....Charlie is pretty upset that Z can do it and he can't...

 Then, we went home and put a book shelf together.

He was having fun planting eggs today!

Today was much better.  :)

The only photo of his 8th bday. Sad, but true. He had a rough day.  "Worst birthday ever" actually is what he says.  He has some "friends" at school that got kicked out of the game at recess for punching people,  and Charlie's way of telling me this was while he was crying, for other reasons,  and saying so "many unexpected things happened today."   He got a lego set that is a knock off of a Seattle  baseball field and this pushed him over the edge.  The pieces fall apart real easy.  (Really, it took us this long to learn this!?) I will update soon worth more fun posts. But he had oatmeal, coco puffs, and malt o meal for breakfast. A burrito with Nutella, banana, and sunflower seeds with lunch and after school, and before bed. He had a good practice at baseball with daddy as the coach, which he loves. And his substitute teacher today was his recent student teacher in the class, so he had an alright kind of day. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
