happy octoboer!!!??

oh, time flies. we need to pause just for a while. maybe a week? but then again, if time paused, how would you know?...musings of a fall morning.
once again i realize we are so busy. life seems to pass us by. probably because i do silly things like let the boys try & use cookie cutters on oatmeal cookie dough at seven am. (i know, i am nodding my head too!) but charlie has been asking for days to make cookies. only to use the cookie cutters. i finally gave in yesterday to the request by him to go to JoAnne's to get a craft. we have oodles of papers & cardboard & things at home, but he wanted a model type kit to put together. luckily they have a set of models for $2.99 there. just crappy wood kitst that barely fit together. but to warm my own heart, we also got the suncatchers that you fill with teeny beads, then bake in the oven. yay for that.
i will put up pics soon. really. and get the priest lake collage done..(you may get it for christmas at this rate! sorry.)
charlie had school pictures yesterday. we told him to think of the frog that runs around the house & makes farting noises to make him smile big for the pictures. i don't think that happened! he seems to like school so far. thank goodness. he takes his lunch every day. usually a ham & mustard sandwich. apple slices & peanut butter (thank heavens no peanut allergies in his class yet!), yogurt, pistachios, & water. and today, there will be funky shaped oatmeal raisin cookies!
i apologize for the last fundraiser emails. i didn't read the fine print. i thought you could earn points by shopping at target, walmart, kohls, whatever...but turns out, you only get points from the actual schoolstore.net site!  hmm...that was quite misleading!!  but thank you for those who did sponser the little guy. it is awful how much fundraising is involved in kindergarten. every week there is at least two new opportunities to donate!! i'm not kidding. it is a bit angering actually. he goes to school full days. which is a bit much i think for a five year old. too much really. but they do get three recesses. and there is music & pe. which makes me happy. every wednesday is early release. which is also good. otherwise we wouldn't have an afternoon together to do whatever!
isaiah is doing well. he is so thoughtful & considerate. always annual testing this month for his speech stuff. he qualifies for the public school system speech program (since he turns three this winter, they boot him to the next program). as far as cognitive scores go, he went all the way to four year old expectations...woah. i dread the day the boys realize they are smarter than their mother. good for them though! lets just hope we can keep them honest! he kinda looked like a unicorn yesterday. with a new egg on his forhead. he was climbing the tall bar stool to get to the marshmallows in the top of the pantry. he slipped & the seat of the stool knocked him right on his head. it was pretty ugly!
brian is doing good. he started the counselor postition he's wanted from day one this week. thank God he finally achieved this!!  he is on four tens again too, which is awesome for everyone too. he & charlie both have nasty colds (ya know, the man cold!?) he'll be putting the studded tires on the pontiac soon. he gets to carpool with a few folks from his work. very lovely.
i also started a new position this week. mondays i will be at a natropath's (dr. retzler if you want to look her up, hormone synergy is the name)  office. so far, i am very excited. they have supplied some utilities i haven't had before like the hydroculator & hot towel cabinet!!!  he furnished the room, for the most part, & even has the massage table & table warmer...i am really blessed & just tickled :) it is wonderful i have a flexible (ish) schedule. my hours vary from week to week. but generally, fri-sun i am at barefoot sage. mondays at the doctor's office. in homes whenever scheduled. every other thursday (mom takes the boys then & each friday) at the hospital (which i also love!)
i am conjuring up raised garden plans. was hoping to have them done already. maybe soon. "dream on " right lady!?  speaking of dreaming.....i am getting sidetracked!!  will be back soon...pictures....right!
