Soooooooooo ready for some sunshine...maybe this will help ;)

Ahhhhh...it may not have been sunny in this pic, but certainly was warm!!!

Good morning!! So today, we dared the weather & journeyed to the tulip & lilac gardens!! what beauty!! we've really been wishing to visit, but our weather is barely warm enough! it was just (& by "just" i mean it was really too cool!!) warm enough to go today! we spent some time with the tulips-which by the way were AMAZING!!! they weren't doing it today, but the past few weeks have been very bizarre weather, including random hail "storms" & so what they do at the tulip farms, is create these really loud explosions! and the sound waves bust up the hail so the flowers are not demolished! how clever! some friends had gone a few weeks ago, & reported these "sonic booms" were going off every 30 seconds!! who would've guessed! anyways, no hail today! in fact, we had a lovely break in the rain while at the tulips! then we went to the lilacs (another favorite site for mommy!) and we had just enough time to wonder a short ways before the rain really started!! i was getting cold & hungry anyways, so it was okay!! --.speaking of being in the weather, an advance apology for family this upcoming weekend..mom & i both have the darn sniffles again! maybe we picked it up at the pool? which is precisely why we hadn't gone till cold & flu season was over!! -- anyhow, now we're home again & the weather is really windy & rainy!! (hmm...sorta feel like a meteorogist here giving you daily reports of our weather!!) that's it for now. i'm going to give loves to the animals in my books, cuz i'm sweet like that ;)

ps, mom is getting emotional about my birthday coming up...somebody knock her in the head would ya!!

Well kids, they FINALLY took me swimming...mom's been talking about it for eleven whole months now!!! and i LOVEd it!!! i was a bit overwhelmed since there were so many other kids in pool, splishing & splashing about!..but it was great! we probably played for about 45 minutes or more! i zoomed & bobbed & laughed at daddy spashing around! i did really well in the water, there is a spot (as you can see here) that i can stand up in the pool, and to go anywhere else, i had my niffty life coat on..which i didn't mind all that much! it was all sooo new & exciting!! then, i even slept better last night for my parents! (so mom says we're going every night!) better go for now, on our way to baby class so i can tell my other short buddies about my adventures!! love & miss you, have a great day:)

HAPPY SPRING????

so the sunshine is still in hibernation here...i'm expecting a long & warm summer this year since we're still freezing at night & it's almost MY BIRTHDAY!!!! but today it is real windy out (mommy LOVES it!) i bet it will even be warm enough for trick-or-treating come october!!
not a whole lot of newness happening here. i miss playing outside, was able to for about a week then it got cold again...mother nature is such a tease sometimes! we were really looking forward to visiting some tulip gardens & the lilac garden too (and the zoo!!), but it has been so darn chilly!! we're hoping the weather is awesome in a couple weeks since we'll be going to the zoo in seattle!!! (ohmygoodness!! sooo excited!!)
as for my progress...hmm..well, i'm trying to run...i speed walk, mommy laughs cuz my little feel look like a cartoon animation when i'm running across the room...i'm almost fast enough to catch my kitties! (they're less than excited about that let me tell you;) also, i popped another tooth this last week (the wind here is so awesome today!!--even our neighbors' garbage cans & full recycle bins are all blowning over!!) & we're really hoping that this is the reason i haven't been sleeping (who thought it was possible for me to sleep LESS!?!?)
OOHH!!! & I have a new second cousin...(hmm..how does that work?) anyhoo, mommy's cousin Katie had her baby boy last week! YAY!!!!!! everyone is healthy & happy!!! congrats to them all!!! we're going to see them at the end of may! i'm super excited about that too! (really i'm just a super excitable kinda man!) better run...have some exploring to do & recyclables to pick up!! love you all, happy wednesday :) i wish i could pick flowers for you all, but my arms aren't big enough just yet, so i'm learning to blow kisses! (don't worry, i can blow them really far!) lol, love yas!!!

my kitties are so wonderful to me!! action jackson (the orange one!) is so incredibly patient with me! he lets me love on him ( i love to nuzzle him with my head!) and i also am constantly after his tail (he started it!) he is always watching over me, if i'm nursing, he'll come lay w/ me too! & whatever room i play in, he will follow me and find a spot to lay & supervise my learning! and flo (my other kitty!), well, she is a bit less tolerant! she runs from me. a lot! she only lets me nuzzle her once in a while! she supervises too, but from up high where i can't reach her!...i'll get her someday!! and this other picture is of a sharp-shinned hawk, it showed up in our back yard the other day! mom was so excited to snap a quick picture of him! (or her?) (she's weird that way!) we also watch lots of other birds too! especially crows! they are nice & big & easy for me to follow! then all the little birdies at the bird feeding station in our back yard! (which is actually more of a squirrel feeding station!) but i do enjoy watching them all, they bring a smile to my lips ;)

grandma mary found me a scoot-about for my first birthday (even though we're a bit early!!) i've inspected each wheel thoroughly & they are in excellent working condition! and i'm still figuring out how to ding the bell! i surprised my mom when i walked with it right away! it will be super fun when i can fly around on this thing! (she'll probably make me wear a helmet and strap mini pillows to my elbows too...) hope you are all well! love ya!

nice neighbor is letting us use it for the season! (how NICE is that!?) here i go for the first ride in it, after a moment, i absolutely loved it! grandma pulled me on her bike, and mommy rode behind making me giggle! we went to the park to play, then on the way home, i really sunk in & relaxed!! and to the right is a pic of me in a little tent we made in our living room, it was really spiffy!

everyone! nothing much new here to speak of besides i'm even cuter than yesterday & i have a new tooth (finally!!) and i grew today! daddy took me to the farmers' market at the park and we had fresh doughnuts! and then this afternoon grandma mary took me to the park by my house to play! it was sooo beautiful outside today!! hope everyone is doing well. talk to you soon. love charlie :)

i've discovered i'm sort of like a little ferret!

i can fit into, under, & behind things! this morning i have been inside the pots & pans cuboard, under mom & dad's bed, under the rocking chair (this one took some grease monkey moves!) and through the kitty condo!!

i got to spend some time with my grandpa edwards yesterday, he came to my house to hang out for a little while! it was so much fun that i was wound up like a toy monkey until past nine o'clock last night!!

we started a sign language class yesterday, it is pretty cool, about 15 other kids or so, i was a very good student! i sat (for a short while ) right in front of the teacher & stared at her w/ my big blue eyes! i also wowed mommy -she saw me stand up from the floor w/o any help! it looked like i've been doing it all along!! i'm just full of suprises! (although, she hasn't seen me hold my own bottle yet!) better run...we have songs to sing & kitties to chase!! love you :)

thank you to you who support, love, & pray for me (and my mommy & daddy too) this (almost) year! pretty sure my life wouldn't be as wonderful as it is had each & everyone of you not been part of it. i have the most amazing extended family & wish we all lived closer, but at least we can still be part of your lives thru this cool technology (even tho mommy says her & computers don't get along well!-she just doesn't operate them very well i say! i'll teach her later how to better utilize her computer time!) posting is risky in the sense there are so many stinking perverts & bad folk out there, but we try to not post any absolute info like full names/dates/times/schedules/and such -although it is tough to get away from my birthday seeing as i brag each month as i grow! we may soon switch so you have to sign in to look at the blog, but it adds another step for you :( i know just getting to this page is enough work for some ;) but that would make it more difficult for unwelcome visitors as well! enuogh babble!


i got my first haircut yesterday! grandma held me in her lap outside in my backyard & fed veggie booty to me while mommy snipped away. i look like a little boy again-phew! (and yes, we saved some!)
