hey friends!! well, we got our yellow jackets taken care of! daddy discovered on sunday that we have another nest, he got stung again mowing the lawn in the afternoon! So we had to get rid of them before they performed an attack on us (daddy, me, or my kitties!). Too many stories of people/animals being seriously attacked these days. Hope that NEVER happens to us or anyone we know!
This is daddy's LAST WEEK!!! HOORAY!! i miss him sooo much. His graduation is on friday & guess what!? HE was voted to do the speech!!! He's so cool! I hope i'm just like him when i grow up!
as for my sleeping, well, i'm doing pretty darn good! i only wake up about two times a night now, the last couple nights have been a little more, but my teeth are REALLY hurting. i wake up with a big holler! mommy stuck her finger in my mouth yesterday (i know, brave lady right?) and felt several more molars charging thru my gums! (yowsers!) soon they'll all be in, & no more sore gums :)
ps, grandma & grandpa barge, have you heard about southwest canceling their flights from us to you? think they'll go through the winter, but stopping that route next spring? bummer! we'll have to take advantage of it while it still lasts! of course, mommy isn't sure she wants to fly much with me anymore...something about her sanity ;)
better get going, have some puddles to go stomp in today! love you lots!

so a little update for you on our awesome rash...turns out after a bit of online inquiring..looks like we have a little case of roseola...thanks to my big cuz jack, who i totally miss, my mommy looked up roseola and low & behold...everything matched my symptoms!! if you don't know what it is..just know it is another childhood "illness" to freak out our mommies...interesting note though auntie steph, didn't jack get it after a weekend at the beach? the research says you accquire it two days before the fever...and WE were at the beach then!!...
while mommy was writing this, i turned on the car alarm from the bedroom & also turned off the computer mid sentence!! got into the cds, had two half cookies ("healthy" cookies!) & got to the keyboard too..so i'm taking her back!! have a good day! xoxo

well, i take it back..this stupid rash is not gone..it's bright red.. :(

well things are getting better all the time. we had a couple rough days recently while i had a bit of a fever...mom would get a max temp of 101.9. it lasted about three days. i think it must be gone now..hopefully! nothing else seem to show signs of sickness or anything, she thought it could've been the outside heat i was reacting to, but the air conditioner was keeping the house (too cool for mom!!) nice & cool. after a few doses of infant tylenol over the weekened, i displayed a rash yesterday!!..totally freaked out mommy!! she was worried it wasn't just a heat rash ..you know how our media is..."a rash? better seek immediate attention..could be meningitis! or polio" anyways, it is mostly gone now & i'm okay afterall. although i'm taller. i grew an inch yesterday. guess i needed the heat to grow?!
we're missing daddy. two more weeks & he'll be home for good. will be fun to have him around again! we have lots of catching up to do! i need to show him my cars. i love my cars & trucks! i've even been sleeping with them!
so i'm still not talking! when does this all take place?..i keep teasing my mom that i might just start speaking in sentences one day & knock her off her socks. (won't take much, she's not all that stable for the most part!) she was trying to get me to say "thunder" the other day! we had a really cool couple of hours worth of some morning thunderstorms yesterday! we're getting a good dose of precipitation here, yesterday, today & tomorrow maybe too! SO nice to have, since we were getting pretty thirsty for some rain around here!
better get going. i'm napping & mommy needs to get some soup started! i love you all & miss you too. have good days okay?

charlie really loves to dig in the sand, but he needs a bit more training before he can dig like these guys!! so we've been having some troubles w/ the blogging...seems to take way to long to do anything sometimes & other times, it just freezes up on the page...will keep trying tho..sorry bout that!!

we took a lovely trip to the beach yesterday w/ grandma mary! it was SO beautiful and awesome! we spent the whole day there, (along w/ many others-since we've got record breaking temps here!) we'll put pictures up hopefully soon..i played in the sand until i couldn't open my eyes anymore, it got a bit windy & i wouldn't keep my shades on-or my hat for that matter! mommy & grandma were holding a big umbrella to try to keep the wind/sand off me...yea right! it was just so beautiful. now that i've got a taste for it, i might request the day trip more often!



i've been weeding & raking w/ mom this morning. she really loves for me to help, but she says it takes a whole lot longer when i do? she was trying to get the yard & garden weeded before daddy gets home tonight, but i told her he'll still love her if she didn't! so lets play! she's pretty easy to distract that way!

my new favorite activities include

-turning the hose on & off & on & off & on & off...
-when i throw my temper tantrums, i like to bang my head (my forhead) hard on the ground (mommy really hates that)
-pouring out my milk everywhere: it comes out in a really cool stream out of my sippy cup..
-walking around w/ my momentary stick of choice (branch, golf club, broom handle, etc)
eating sand/dirt
carring around rocks i find/ or small branches/sticks
-i'm getting pretty good at throwing balls too!

better get going..have a full schedule today!!..love you very much

blissed out at the beach

if i could give one gift to all my loved ones, it would be to treat them to a week (okay, maybe a month!) at priest lake! i had SO MUCH FUN!!! i had the time of my life last week! i spent many a morning snoozing in the shade on the beach (can you find me below under the beach umbrella?) only to wake up & start digging again in the fabulous sandy private beach we were lucky enough to occupy for a whole week! i visited with lots of family & friends i don't get to see very often & i showed them all how "boy" i am..my cousin jack (19months) & i played & played until we crashed from exhaustion! (or a food coma! we ate & ate & then ate some more!) we played horseshoes & washers, then a combination of both! we stayed in a beautiful lake home at night & in the morning we meandered down to the water, just down the stairs, to spend the day playing, (& eating!) at the beach. my grandma barge, aka the "food lady", made sure i didn't starve, i ran to her every time she came down the stairs because i knew she would have some good eats in her arms!! everything from loaded baked potatoes to huckleberry pancakes(oh, & grandma, mommy says thank you for my newfangled fruit snack addiction!)
speaking of thanks, thank you SO MUCH to grandma & grandpa, & auntie steph & uncle ryan for making this all happen! mommy & i had a magnificant time! we really missed daddy, but he'll be there next year for sure (he'll even be getting paid for his time!!)
i was covered in sand the whole time i was there! it was great! i would just sit down & fiddle with the shovels & pails for hours! digging & dumping & filling & pouring! i acquired a taste for it as well, so even my face was constantly filthy! i loved to wade in the water, getting my feet & little legs wet, but no further! mommy would walk me deeper in the water, or put me on her lap while floating, only to put me to sleep! i also fell asleep when we'd go out on the boat!
on friday night, an incredible lightning storm threatened to come our way!! it stayed on the other side of the lake, but mommy really enjoyed the show! her & grandpa sat on the deck & watched it pass. (i slept through it) it even knocked out our power! luckily, our cabin owners left us a box in the closet marked "candles in case the power goes out!" it was only out from about ten at night till maybe nine or so the next morning!
there is so much more, but you get the picture! it was just heavenly to be there! we had perfect weather & made some beautiful memories!
oh, & before we flew back home to see daddy, grandma & grandpa took me to see the blue angels put on an amazing air show just before we boarded our own plane! they were awesome!!

mommy says i can only drive the jetski when it is beached..i have to wait a few years before i can take it on the water!..still, it was WAY cool !!

i've been very busy working in the yard, thank goodness it is raining right now..you see how thristy my plants are!!..(note this is the same spot i was splashing in the mud yesterday!!) after my nap (YES i'm sleeping!!) we're going to the store, then i go to grandma mary's for the day...then DADDY! will pick me up!! Hooray!!! i miss my daddy so!!

night waking update: last night i slept all the way from 1030 to almost 730!! (well, mabye not, but mommy didn't hear me or get up if i did wake up!! )

thank you to uncle seany for coming to visit this week on his birthday, we played for a little bit, but i got real tired so i went to bed (after some coaxing!).
