we went to the zoo

this morning with our neighbor friend shelly-happy birthday shelly!- and guess what?! the tiger was out today!! she was just beautiful!! however, i really didn't take all her beauty in because I was crankypants! it was a semi short trip this morning, i really needed to sleep instead of frolicking around the zoo grounds! that's okay though since mom has chores to take care of! today is the last of our predicted nice weather! so i'm very happy we went this morning.

grandma/pa barge, i'm so excited to see you, i've been practicing my acts to make you laugh! one of my current favorites is to hide behind the linen covering the shelves in the kitchen-i cover my face (hiding from you) then point the direction i think you should look for me!

you can stop worrying about our house burning down now! we have a new stove! thank you so much to uncle luke & my GG & papa! and to grandpa edwards too since he delivered & installed it! it was so much fun to help grandpa exchange the appliances! I helped out quite a bit with my handy dandy screwdriver ;)

not a lot of new news around here, daddy is settling into his work place. think he is going to be just fine there! my grandma & grandpa barge will be visiting this weekend! We're all excited to see them!

Mommy has been running around in circles (still!). she has a to-do list a mile long & i think the interest on said list is pretty high since she doesn't get much checked off !! (this blog is a nice procrastination technique don't ya think? ;) painting & organizing, removing, shipping, shopping & recipe hunting & landscaping (not to mention the paperwork list!! she says she's going to hire uncle luke to come work here at the house for a month. but he says he needs to make 100K a year, and i'm not sure, but i don't think we could afford that!!

excellent!! i wonder why we don't visit the coast more often..it makes mommy so happy!!

i made my GG laugh so hard sometimes! here i was playing w/ this spinny ghostly tool...& the faces & noises i performed were definately worthy of giggles!! even uncle luke is there laughing in the corner

i had so much fun out at grandpas too! with the pupppies & horse! this was nearly a group photo of my P pa & the puppies..but mieko was the only one cooperating (isn't he pretty sitting on the steps?)..the rest of us couldn't quite get organized ;)

this is bugs. i'm giving him a well deserved apple here! i had to show my daddy where to get the apples & carrots to feed him! he eats as much as i do!! everytime i turn around, he's hungry again!!

i've been playing so hard i can hardly stand it! here i am playing w/ my awesome school bus while i can barely sit up!!! we've had so much fun this week , i am so sad to see my GG & P Pa leave. THank you both for coming so far to visit & play with me. i'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Happy fall everyone!!! i am so excited to tell you about my visit with my great grandma & grandpa this weeK! they are here to visit & spoil me! we've been very busy, traveling to astoria & the coast, visiting with my grandma, uncle luke, grandpa & his puppies too! i'll get some pictures up real quick, just wanted to touch base with you, we haven't forgotten to post, i just make mommy's computer time pretty challenging when i'm awake ya know ;) later this morning we'll get a post up w/ lots of pictures i hope...love you :)

i've pretty much been sleeping on the bottom bunk of my daybed. but mommy & daddy don't want to put the crib away yet though, just in case i need to be briefly confined!!

good morning all! so i apologize for the lack of pictures, we still haven't gotten our camera back from last weekend!! maybe tonight ;) one more week & my great grandma/pa will be here to visit with me!! i'm sooo excited!! time is flying by in this house! (i'm sure yours is too!) i'm growing up so fast even I can't believe it! i've been on the scale several times in the last 48 hours or so (my new place to stand!) & it usually says 28.7lbs. can you believe it? i've weighed the same amount for months now!! at my 12month check up, i was 28.6! or was it 26.8? shoot, it was so long ago already!! i'm 15 months now!! speaking of check ups, mommy has to search out a new pediatrician real quick since we're on a new insurance policy now!..good luck w/ that ma!

and i love things to be ON! i want the lights ON. the radio ON. my little books that make noises, ON. all my little fun toys that make noise? ON! my musical gadget in my crib ON (even tho i don't stay in the crib for long! i like to sleep on my big boy bed!!). the computer ON-unless mommy is trying to use it, then i like it off ;)

this summer has been most beautiful. i've spent soo much time playing in my backyard. i LOVE it out there!! i love sit in & eat dirt & rocks, play with the bird bath & under the bird feeder is enough fallen seed (thank you very much mister squirrels!!) that i sit in that & play!! the other day i even snatched a spider right out of the center of his web!! (mommy freaked a little bit..but it totally cracks me up to see her move so fast with wild expressions on her face!!) mommy & i sit on our little couch out there & read books & eat lunch outside. we're going to be a little sad when we can 't spend so much time out there!! our weather is most definitely changing! the nights are getting colder & colder! i just put on shoes & long sleeves/pants in the morning to go play!! i've also been strutting around in my cool rubber boots (thought they were to snug?..but he's walking in them!!) & wearing a nifty straw hat on my head. can't wait to show pictures hopefully soon! sure to make you giggle!!

this weekend, mommy & daddy left me! well, mommy's very first night away from me was saturday night. she had a bit of a tough time, but i was w/ my grandma & hardly noticed they were absent! i've been enjoying life, growing singing & running & playing. it is all quite exhausting yet exhilarating!! daddy is home to stay & is very happy about it! i better run, getting ready to spend the day at grandpa's farm again..i love you all, happy monday :)

today, i wish to send out an extra note to thank my friends/family who have/are in the military. thanks you for all you do/have done. my great grandpa laddie, my great uncles paul, sam, & mark, & mikey, & jeff were all marines. my great grandpa leo (even my great great grandpa too), & both my grandpa mike & grandma mary were army. cousin jesse is national guard (very happy birthday to you yesterday by the way jesse!). cousin brett also is national guard (um, or marine?..sorry bretty..?!) thank you to you all for your service. i can't imagine what our world we be if not for you. thank you so much.
